Martial Arts Training – Invest in your Kid’s Future

Martial arts training could be one of the best possible investments in your kid’s future.

EVeryone has heard of Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Jet Li. Bruce Lee is the most well-known martial artist and perhaps the single biggest influence in the resurgence of interest in the martial arts. Kids responded to the skill and artistry of Bruce on the big screen, in a big way. Today, martial arts training is part of the mainstream sports scene. You can find martial arts classes, offered in almost every town, all across America and the United Kingdom.

We all know that kids aren’t getting enough exercise and this is reflected in increasing rates of overweight and obese children. How can you pry them away from sedentary activities like computer games? Enrolling your kids in a martial arts training program is one excellent solution.

Fitness Centers – Is Your Membership Worth It?

If you join a fitness center, will you make full use of it? This is the question on their mind when many people are considering joining. I’m sure many of you have joined one before and then never made full use of your membership.

The Excuses

Believe me, I know how easy it can be to put off getting in shape at a fitness center. After joining a fitness gym, I literally took a year to really start going regularly. I had joined Total Fitness because it was so affordable and so convenient. It was a short drive from the house I lived in, So there was no problem with going anytime I wanted to. I figured that I would go to fitness center all the time, lifting weights, running on the treadmill, and generally doing everything to get in shape. It did not turn out that way. For some reason, I was always finding and excuse not to go. Some days I was too tired, other times my back hurt, and other days I got home from work too late. Whatever the reason, I made it there maybe once a month for the first year.

Wild Goose Qigong Workshops with Dr. Bingkun Hu

Two very enjoyable and productive workshops on Wild Goose (Dayan) Qigong were given by my teacher Dr. Bingkun Hu during his yearly visit to the United Kingdom in August 2008. He has been coming to the UK every year now for four years and has a great desire that more people in the UK should know about the many health benefits that come from the practice of Wild Goose Qigong.

Wild Goose Qigong is a form of Medical Qigong which means that its sole purpose is to make us healthy and help us to live to a ripe old age. Dr. Bingkun Hu is a disciple of the late Grandmaster Yang Meijun. Yang Meijun was a great example to us all: she performed healing well into her nineties and lived until she was 106 years old.

Ab exercise is an important component in your overall workout routine. Everyone wants to have a lean, tight midsection. The New Food Pyramid

Let’s explore how the new food pyramid can help us to organise a healthy diet.

Nowadays, many of us are so busy with all our commitments that it’s easy to forget about that we need a healthy diet to keep us going. Especially, with a family, each member may have a different schedule and getting everyone around the dining table together is not as common as it once was. How is your family? Garlic Supplements to Stop Aging and Improve Immune Functions

Garlic has been known for its beneficial effects in many cultures and in recent years garlic supplements have become increasingly popular.

The ancients knew of garlic’s powerful infection-fighting properties. Nostradamus, the famous 16th century seer and physician, was credited with saving many lives during the Black Plague, by stringing garlic cloves around the necks of his patients. Some regard this account as more legend than fact, but modern double-blind clinical studies have shown that garlic is a natural antibiotic that kills 27 different pathogens. These are impressive credentials for such a humble, everyday plant.
